Our primitive ancestors were hard-wired to constantly assess threats in their environment for survival. To this day, we still carry that survival instinct in the form of a curvy seahorse that is our limbic brain. It is good for us only if we know how to regulate it. Until that happens, our mental, emotional, and physical health are unknowingly at the mercy of perceived stressors in our daily lives.
